How to Interrupt "Recover Standby Database" with AUTO Enabled

RECOVER STANDBY DATABASE is also call manual recovery of standby database, it has the same effect with RECOVER STANDBY DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL. You can set AUTO to make the database to judge the best point to stop or until you set CANCEL.

One last resort that you can use to cancel the AUTO is to send an interrupt signal to the database by Ctrl + c. The database will not respond to your signal immediately, but it has received your message, and it will stop its job after finishing its current job. So it's not necessary to send your interrupting signal twice.
