PRVE-10167 : I/O Completion Ports (IOCP) device status did not match the required value on node
Saw PRVE-10167, an AIX I/O Completion Ports (IOCP) setting error during Oracle database 19c software installation on AIX 7.2 like this:
PRVE-10167 : I/O Completion Ports (IOCP) device status did not match the required value on node "NodeName". [Expected = "Available"; Found = "Defined"]
The error message told us that the status needs to be "Available" instead of "Defined" for IOCP state. Let's check the current setting of IOCP.
# lsdev -c iocp
iocp0 Defined I/O Completion Ports
Solution
We should enable IO completion ports and change the value into "Available".
