How to Resolve VMware Error "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system"

I got this error when I reboot a newly installed Enterprise Linux 6.7 guest OS on VMware Workstation 12.

The CPU has been disabled - symptom
The CPU has been disabled - symptom

I tried several ways to workaround it. At last, only the following trick works.

The CPU has been disabled - 01
The CPU has been disabled - 01
The CPU has been disabled - 02-1
The CPU has been disabled - 02-1
The CPU has been disabled - 02-2
The CPU has been disabled - 02-2

See? I downgrade the compatibility to Version 10.x. Now, you can go on your work.
